{"id":3767,"date":"2021-09-20T15:00:24","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T13:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/partnernews.sophos.com\/en-us\/?p=3767"},"modified":"2021-09-17T16:44:16","modified_gmt":"2021-09-17T14:44:16","slug":"new-sophos-central-data-center-is-now-live-in-japan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/partnernews.sophos.com\/en-us\/2021\/09\/products\/new-sophos-central-data-center-is-now-live-in-japan\/","title":{"rendered":"New Sophos Central Data Center is Now Live in Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">We&#8217;re delighted to announce that our newest Sophos Central data center has gone live in Tokyo, Japan. <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" href=\"http:\/\/sophos.com\/central\">Sophos Central<\/a> is the cloud-based management platform that supports our portfolio of advanced, next-gen security products.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/605847460\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">The Japan data center joins our data centers in the U.S., Germany, and Ireland, as well as the new data centers we just launched <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" href=\"https:\/\/partnernews.sophos.com\/en-us\/2021\/07\/products\/new-sophos-central-data-center-is-now-live-in-canada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in Canada<\/a> and <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" href=\"https:\/\/partnernews.sophos.com\/en-us\/2021\/08\/products\/new-sophos-central-data-center-is-now-live-in-australia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in Australia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Growth and data<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rolling out these new data centers serves two main purposes.<\/p>\n<p>First: we&#8217;re growing! What began almost a decade ago as a humble but innovative cloud-based platform to manage endpoints and servers has evolved into an intelligent, data-filled command center for just about any computing asset a business would need to protect.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve got more products, customers, and actionable data than ever before, so this additional infrastructure provides the capacity we&#8217;ll need to continue to grow into the future.<\/p>\n<p>Second: we recognize the importance of providing organizations of all sizes, in all sectors &#8211; public or private &#8211; with the flexibility of being able to store, manage, and access Sophos Central data locally from in-country data centers.<\/p>\n<p>These new data centers provide data-sovereignty solutions for organizations with strict national or local regulatory or policy requirements. We&#8217;re constantly exploring opportunities for additional data centers in other parts of the world as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Getting started<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At launch, the Japan data center supports our Intercept X <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sophos.com\/en-us\/products\/endpoint-antivirus.aspx\">endpoint<\/a> and <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sophos.com\/en-us\/products\/server-security.aspx\">server<\/a> products &#8211; including <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sophos.com\/en-us\/products\/endpoint-antivirus\/xdr.aspx\">Sophos XDR<\/a> &#8211; as well as our full-disk encryption product, our <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sophos.com\/en-us\/products\/managed-threat-response.aspx\">Managed Threat Response<\/a> service, and <a class=\"ProsemirrorEditor-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sophos.com\/en-us\/products\/cloud-optix.aspx\">Cloud Optix<\/a>*, with additional product support to come.<\/p>\n<p>To request use of the Japan data center, you&#8217;ll need to either be a Sophos Partner using the Partner Dashboard or a Sophos Customer using the Enterprise Dashboard.
