Lifecycle: Upcoming Sophos UTM/SG Milestones
We’re providing early notice about some upcoming lifecycle milestones for Sophos UTM (all deployment types) and the SG Series.
- 20% price increase on all renewal SKUs: June 1, 2025
- Final renewal date: December 31, 2025
- Final order date for sub-6-month terms: expected April/May 2025
Please encourage your customers to renew early if they’re not yet ready to upgrade to Sophos Firewall.

License Compliance: XG Series Alert for Unsupported Systems
As previously communicated, we’re alerting the remaining XG customers to the upcoming EOL and the current license compliance requirements.
From February 24, 2025, XG Series customers with no support or subscription (other than the Base License) will see an alert in the Control Center. Some functional limitations will be implemented on unsupported devices.
The license compliance changes for other Sophos Firewall customers with no support or subscription (other than the Base License) will come into effect from March 28.

License Compliance: AP6 Series Support Enforcement
We’re beginning the enforcement for AP6 Series support licensing in Sophos Central. For each rollout phase, term customers and their partners will receive an email from us, but as many customers opt out of communications, please review the status of your customers and apply any keys that have not been activated. We will not be contacting MSP customers.

Lifecycle: EOL for Sophos Firewall OS v18.5 and v19.5
Per our lifecycle policy, we are announcing an end-of-life (EOL) date of April 30, 2025, for Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS) major release versions 18.5 and 19.5 (includes GA and all Maintenance Release (MR) versions).
