Firewall Migration: Extra 3 Months Free For Your UTM Customers

ProductsMigrationSG UTM

Optional free 3-month term for UTM/SG subscriptions in combination with a refresh

Summary

Starting June 18, 2025, Sophos UTM (SG) customers can receive a free 3-month license overlap when migrating to Sophos Firewall (SFOS) with a 3-year Xstream Protection subscription. This offer helps partners manage migration timelines while providing an added incentive for customers and ensuring they stay protected.

Solving the migration challenge

Many Sophos UTM (SG) customers delay migration to Sophos Firewall until their current license is nearing or past expiration, creating scheduling challenges for partners and potential security gaps for customers.

To solve this problem, we’re offering an optional, free 3-month extension to the existing UTM subscription(s) that will run concurrently with the newly purchased Xstream Protection license. This provides partners with an extended migration window while maintaining uninterrupted protection for customers.

How to get the 3-month free overlap

For customers migrating to XGS Series hardware from either an SG Series appliance or UTM SW/virtual, the discount will be added to our existing promo codes:

  • SG_XGS_3Y_Xstream_Central
  • SG_XGS_3Y_Xstream_APAC
  • SG_XGS_3Y_Xstream_ROW

For customers migrating from UTM SW/virtual to SFOS SW/virtual, a new promo code will be available from June 18 to provide the same incentive:

  • UTMSW_REFRESH_3M_GLOBAL

Eligibility Requirements

  • Offer valid from June 18 to March 31, 2026.
  • The Sophos UTM term must not extend beyond the EOL date on June 30, 2026.
  • The free 3-month extension is exclusively available when using our official migration promo codes for Sophos Firewall transitions. No other terms or usage are allowed.
  • The purchase must include a minimum 3-year term for Xstream Protection.
  • The quote/order must comply with all existing migration promo terms.
  • This offer is available for renewal product transitions only and does not apply to amend and extend transactions.
  • This offer is available for both hardware and software-only/virtual migrations.
  • All other use of the 3-month UTM terms is prohibited and will lead to the cancellation of the quote/order.

Process

  1. Transition the customer’s current subscription(s) to Xstream Protection with a 3-year term and add the XGS Series hardware appliance (if applicable).
  2. As one or more new line items, add the customer’s current UTM subscription(s) with a 3-month term to your quote.
  3. Apply the appropriate regional promo code.
  4. The 100% discount will automatically apply to the 3-month UTM extension.

Example:

Customer with SG 330 and FullGuard who is moving to an XGS 3300 with Xstream Protection using the appropriate SG_XGS_3Y_Xstream_xxx promo code.

Product Transition: FullGuard SG 330 -> Xstream Protection XGS 3300
36-month term to comply with promo terms
XGS Hardware: (add new line item) XGS 3300 Security Appliance
UTM subscription: (add new line item) FullGuard SG 330 with a 3-month term
Apply the promo code: SG_XGS_3Y_Xstream_???

??? = regional promo code suffix.
Model and regional exclusions may apply.

Discounts applied: 99% on XGS 3300

1% on Xstream Protection

100% on the 3-month term for FullGuard SG 330

Start dates For a pre-quoted on-time or early renewal:

The Xstream Protection and 3-month FullGuard contracts will both start +1 day after the original FullGuard expiry date.

The UTM subscription(s) must match the existing subscription(s) that the customer owns, and in the case of hardware, the SG Series model. If the customer owns more than one subscription, e.g., Network Protection and Web Protection, each can be added as a separate line item with a term of 3 months.

The non-renewable, 3-month UTM license must be downloaded from MyUTM and applied in the usual way.
