Did you know you can streamline your quoting and renewal process by selecting a Preferred Distributor in the Sophos Partner Portal? This helpful setting ensures greater consistency and efficiency by automatically assigning your chosen distributor to new opportunities and renewals.
Why Set a Preferred Distributor?
Once designated in your Partner Portal settings, your Preferred Distributor will be automatically applied in the following ways:
- Deal Registrations & Quotes: The Distributor field auto-populates with your Preferred Distributor whenever you create a new deal registration or quote. You can still change it if you choose to use a different distributor for a specific transaction.
- Renewals: Renewal opportunities will default to your Preferred Distributor, even if the original contract listed a different one.
- Amendments: You can only create amendment opportunities (e.g., adding licenses mid-term) if the distributor matches your Preferred Distributor. If it doesn’t, please contact your Sophos representative for assistance.
How to Set a Preferred Distributor?
If you’re a partner portal administrator, go to the settings page in the Sophos Partner Portal to select your Preferred Distributor.
