Each year we look forward to hosting our partners at our Partner Conferences all over the world. At these events, we discuss the future of cybersecurity, unveil the latest product and platform innovations, and get inspired together as a community. This year, as we’re unable to travel and gather in such large groups, the Sophos Partner Conference has gone virtual.
“Our first virtual partner conference will feature the familiar faces of our Sophos leadership team,” says Mike Valentine, Sophos Chief Revenue Officer. “We’ll miss being together, but on the positive side, more of our partners and more of their employees can view these updates first-hand.”
Although we are disappointed we won’t be connecting with you in person, we have put together a fantastic program to help you grow your cybersecurity business. As of this morning, you can log on and watch keynote addresses from our CEO, Kris Hagerman, and other Sophos leaders including Chief Revenue Officer, Mike Valentine, Chief Product Officer, Dan Schiappa, and SVP of Global Channels, Kendra Krause. Here’s what you can expect when you visit Evolve 2020.
In his address, Kris Hagerman shares recent business performance and the outlook for the future. He takes a close look at how Sophos plans to accelerate our mission to deliver the world’s most effective next-generation cybersecurity technology. And, he discusses the benefits that mission will bring for our customers and our partners.
Please be sure to watch Kendra Krause’s keynote where you’ll hear some exciting announcements regarding our new Global Partner Program designed to reward our partners who are most committed and engaged on our next-gen portfolio. Details on the new program tiers, requirements, and benefits will be provided in Allison Clarke’s Sophos Partner Program deep-dive session.
“We are pleased to announce our new Global Partner Program, which will be effective July 20, 2020.” Says Krause, “Built on three core pillars that have always been part of our channel commitment – profitability, partnership, and product – our new Sophos Global Partner Program aligns directly to our next-gen portfolio.”
Mike Valentine discusses his thoughts on selling in the new environment we find ourselves in. And Sophos Chief Product Officer, Dan Schiappa talks about our product strategy, specifically our Cybersecurity Evolved approach. And this year, he’s getting very pragmatic – detailing a very sophisticated attack and how the Sophos technologies can be applied to detect and prevent it every step of the way.
“I’ll share how Sophos allows businesses to predict, adapt, and synchronize their security.” Says Schiappa. “You’ll see how Sophos technology takes protection to new levels and can take the burden of dealing with incidents off the IT team, while keeping your customers in control.”
You will also hear directly from our business leaders, product managers, and cybersecurity experts. At the conference, you’ll learn how to Sell Cybersecurity Evolved, and our XG Firewall Innovation and Intercept X Innovation breakouts will ensure you are up to date with recent advances. And, you will also hear about what new releases are on the horizon.
We recently debuted EDR 3.0. In What’s Next for Endpoint Detection and Response, Karl Ackerman will talk you through a comprehensive EDR 3.0 demonstration. Additionally, there are breakouts on Securing the Cloud, Winning with Managed Threat Response, and how you can use Sophos APIs with Sophos Central. We’re hosting several sessions focusing on how we can beat the competition, what sets our Managed Threat Response (MTR) service apart from the rest, and how Total Cost of Ownership is kryptonite to Microsoft. When you attend, you’ll understand why these sessions are amongst a few that require a Partner Portal login to view.
“Our cybersecurity and product experts may have been locked down, but they’ve opened up in their breakout sessions,” says Chris Weeds, VP Global Enablement for Sophos. “Their sessions are full of useful insights that will help you defend your customers from the ever-evolving threat landscape.”
When it comes to understanding the threat, our experts guide you through some emerging insights. Peter MacKenzie, an incident response manager at Sophos, gives you his Threat Hunter Insight and takes you through the threats partners face, why MSPs in particular are targeted, and how the attacks happen, while showing real-world examples of how Sophos MTR can stop the attacks in their tracks. Sticking with MSPs, in his session Scott Barlow, VP Global MSP, provides important MSP program and product roadmap updates and discusses some techniques for selling managed-security services.
Greg Iddon explains why Ransomware remains in the headlines, and in Today’s Top 5 Cybersecurity Issues, Sally Adam looks at the security challenges at the top of your customers’ to do lists. Using data from our global survey of 5,000 IT managers, Sally looks at which Sophos solutions to position to address each challenge. The Inside the Mind of a Hacker session, hosted by Matt Gangwer of our threat response team, shares key insights on emerging adversarial methods, proven response tactics, and top-line strategies for detecting and neutralizing threats designed to circumvent technical security controls.
I think you’ll agree it’s a comprehensive program! If you have any questions our team will be on hand to answer them via Live Chat or email at evolve2020@sophos.com.
