#1 NEW 1-YEAR PROMO OPTION FOR SG (AND XG) – ACTION REQUIRED
Just when you thought the SG to XGS promo engine was tuned to the max, we’re testing a new low-cost, 1-year option for you to close those budget-constrained opportunities and, at the same time, secure a further renewal opportunity in 12 months.
Rather than creating a new promo code, we’re updating our existing 1-year code, XGS_REFRESH_1Y_GLOBAL, to provide the same 1-year offer for both SG and XG customer upgrades.
All 3-year offers remain available and should still be your starting point for all upgrades:
- For SG: SG_XGS_REFRESH_GLOBAL
- For XG: XGS_REFRESH_3Y_GLOBAL or XGS REFRESH_3Y_INDIA

What should you do if you have existing quotes using this promo code?
- Prioritize reviewing your Q4 quotes.
- Any quote that is refreshed after we make these changes will be updated with the new conditions.
- In limited cases, e.g., where a deal has just closed but not yet been processed, you may need to contact our team for assistance in recreating the quote with the previous promo conditions.
- As the code is being made non-combinable:
- It will prevent the combined use of ALL other codes:
- This includes HW_3FREE and any eligible deal reg boosters
- If you do use more than one promo code, only the first valid promo code alphabetically will be applied.

#2 REMOVING UTM (SG) TRIAL CREATION IN MYUTM | FEB 18, 2026
We’re removing the option for partners to create trials in MyUTM.
- Due to the large install base, this limitation previously applied to DACH partners only.
This change is necessary due to extensive misuse.
All Sophos UTM trial requests via PartnerCare must have a valid reason and prior approval from the local sales management or the global PM team.
The target date for this change is February 18, 2026.
#3 SOPHOS UTM (SG) MIGRATION PATHS AND INCENTIVES – COMMUNICATION

#4 MSP FLEX FOR XG EXTENSION
In other refresh news, we’ve announced a final extension of MSP Flex for XG up to June 30, 2026.
All MSPs with XG billings were informed via an MSP Flex Tech Alert on February 11.
