Transition from Sophos Container Mobile App
Encourage any of your customers using the Sophos Container Apps for BYOD environments to transition to the native functionality of the Android Work Profile and iOS User Enrolment management modes. As of October 2022, new customers will not be able to use the Container apps. In December 2023, these apps will be removed from stores. Read more on native BYOD offerings

Sophos Firewall XG 85(w), XG 105(w), and Sophos Firewall OS v17.5
The end-of-life date for the XG 85 and 105 models is August 17, 2022. At the same time, v17.5 for those models also reaches its end of support/EOL date. Please ensure that you switch your customers to a supported model to maintain their current level of protection. Migration Path: XGS 86, 106 or higher. Learn more on migration paths

Sophos RED – Legacy Models
The EOL date for the legacy RED models is August 23, 2023. Migration Path: SD-RED 20/60.
Please ensure that your customers have a valid Network Protection subscription for the management and use of their RED/SD-RED devices.

Sophos XG Series hardware appliances
We continue to sell any available XG Series appliance beyond the March 31, 2022 end-of-sale date. Model availability will vary by region.   

  • All lifecycle milestones for the XG Series and related subscriptions are included in this article: Read more
  • Since April 1, 2022, you can no longer sell a 3-year subscription and any term sold must not extend beyond the March 31, 2025 EOL date. 

Sophos AP Series Access Points
The EOL for the following AP Series models has been extended from March 31, 2023 to December 31,2023:

  • AP 15/15C
  • AP 55/55C
  • AP 100/100C/100X

PureMessage for Exchange
The EOL will be June 30, 2023 – there is no migration path.

PureMessage for Unix
The EOL will be June 30, 2023 – the migration path is Sophos Email.

Sophos Email Appliance 
The EOL will be June 30, 2023 – the migration path is Sophos Email.

Endpoint Protection, Server Protection and Enterprise Console products (standalone or managed on premises)
The EOL will be July 20, 2023 – the migration path is Intercept X Advanced or Intercept X Advanced for Server

Sophos Mobile (managed on premises)
The EOL will be July 20, 2023 – the migration path is Sophos Mobile managed in Sophos Central.

SafeGuard Enterprise
The EOL will be July 20, 2023 – the migration path is Sophos Central Device Encryption.

Sophos UTM Manager
The distribution of the Sophos UTM Manager (SUM) has been stopped and the End-of-Life date for this product is on December 31, 2022. All existing licenses have been extended to December 31, 2025 and the extended license can be obtained via the myUTM Licensing Portal.  How to get an extended license (EN).
