Earlier this year, we announced the limited availability of some APX Series access point models. Following that communication, sales increased significantly, accelerating the sellout process.

We are now announcing all lifecycle milestones for the full APX Series, including an extended support period up to the end of life on December 31, 2027. This maximizes the usage period for any customer who has only recently purchased.

We will continue to sell any available APX models for as long as stock lasts. Please check the current inventory level with your local Sophos distributor or representative to ensure that the required model is still available.

Inventory levels can change quickly, and any model can sell out from one day to the next. Any quote will be rendered invalid if the required product is no longer available and an alternative model may be suggested.

The final supported software versions for these models will be announced closer to the EOL date and published in the Retirement Calendar.

In most cases, customers can enjoy the full functionality of their APX product up to the end-of-life date. However, if an APX is managed from a firewall with an EOL date before December 2027, your customer will need to move their access points to a supported platform to maintain functionality for the entire lifecycle.

This particularly applies to the following products:

• XG/SG Series hardware appliances running Sophos Firewall OS (SFOS) will be EOL on March 31, 2025
• SG Series hardware appliances and Sophos UTM OS will be EOL on June 30, 2026.

Please work with your local distributor or Sophos account manager to discuss the most suitable option for your customer. They will be happy to answer any queries you may have.
