Simplify migrating to the latest Sophos Firewall platforms

With many SonicWall partners and customers switching to Sophos Firewall, we are pleased to announce Early Access to our latest SonicWall to Sophos Firewall Migration Assistant.

This new version of the SonicWall Migration Assistant includes:

  • Support for migrating to the latest Sophos Firewall platforms including all XGS Series models as well as virtual and software deployments (Note: XG Series is not supported).
  • Support for Sophos Firewall version 20.0 (and future releases)
  • Supports backups from SonicWall 6.5.X and 7.X
  • An enhanced user experience and the addition of basic IP validation

This new SonicWall Migration Assistant supports all the features of the previous iteration of this tool and will migrate:

  • Interfaces
  • Address Objects (Hosts)
  • Service Objects
  • SD-WAN Routes
  • NAT Rules
  • Threat Prevention Enablement
  • Content/ Web Filtering Lists
  • Firewall Rules

Items not on the supported features list above are not migrated. A few examples of features that are not migrated include: Users, Groups, Authentication, VPN, dynamic routes, administrative settings, Wi-Fi, app rules, syslog, alerts, certificates, passwords, etc.

Sophos Partners can download it from the Partner Portal (login required)… you can find it under the “Tech” menu by selecting “Tech Tools”.
